I translate from French, Spanish and Portuguese into English, specialising in law, EU matters and marketing and communication.

I have real passion for my profession and thoroughly enjoy the what I do. I made the break from cubicle life as an in-house translator in February 2008 and thoroughly enjoy being freelance. I love the freedom of being self-employed, the challenge of managing my own workload and mapping out my own career path.

I use this blog as a way of tracing my own development within the translation profession. It also allows me to reflect and encourage debate on the industry as a whole. My blog is aimed at anyone who is interested in language, linguistics or translation, and is written for career translators in particular. I also hope it will serve as a source of encouragement and advice for newcomers to the translation profession.
