I am a freelance translator living in London. I translate from French, Spanish and Portuguese into English in the fields of Law, International Development, Media and Marketing.
I use this blog as a way of tracing my own development as part of the translation profession, whilst also allowing me to reflect and encourage debate on the industry as a whole. I also write frequent posts about trends in social media and how it shapes the way we work in the 21st Century.
I made the break from cubicle life as an in-house translator in February 2008 and thoroughly enjoy life as a freelancer. I love the freedom of being self-employed, the challenge of managing my own workload and mapping out my own career path.
